Chef Tina Cannon is a classically trained chef who began her career after attending culinary school in France and spent years thriving in high‑volume restaurant kitchens. Since transitioning from restaurant life, she has built a distinguished career as a caterer and competitive pitmaster on the Southeast BBQ circuit. A trailblazer among female competitors, Tina has been competing since 2009 and is known for her creative approach to cooking on the Big Green Egg.
Her competitive résumé includes several historic firsts: in 2013 she became the first woman to win a Grand Championship on the Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour and captured the prestigious Dillard Georgia Contest; in 2014 she won $10,000 on Travel Channel’s American Grilled for her grilling skills; and in 2015 she was the first woman to win the Georgia BBQ Championship. Tina continues to compete in top events including the World Food Championships and women’s Pitmasters contests like Fire & Ice, while also catering and teaching classes that showcase her expertise in cooking an entire meal on the Big Green Egg.
